New High-Quality Music Video Websites

April 18, 2008

So with YouTube offering sub-par video, there are new web-sites entering the market with much higher quality video. They’re entering it with Music Videos (no big surprise..Music drives a lot of great applications and sites).

Pitchfork.tv and PluggedIn.com are both offering music lovers a place to go to watch their favorite music videos in great quality. I was only able to view Pitchfork.tv’s video as there seems to be some bug in PluggedIn.com. I’m in Canada, so maybe that has something to do with it (though they say the videos are licensed for U.S and Canada).

Check them out for yourself and let us know what you think.

The internet maybe has killed the television video star, but the internet video stars are starting to rise.

I leave you with the video, “Video Killed the Radio Star”.

Wierd Al should do a parody of this already.

Make Great Music.

Hi, Jeff from PluggedIn here. You are correct- our higher-quality content is licensed at present only for access in the US. We’re working on expanding those rights, so please stay tuned. In the meantime, you can still search on an artist and we will serve up multimedia content from across the web, including video content we find. Thanks!
